Education and Outreach Coordinator
Ben Lybarger has assisted with wildlife rehabilitation around the globe, from Bolivia to Vietnam, learning the challenges unique to each region, as well as the larger issues threatening biodiversity everywhere. With a smattering of degrees including Environmental Science, Psychology, and English, he has most recently began a master’s program for biology through Miami University. He has a lifelong interest in primates and is currently working with FPI leadership to build disease testing capacity at wildlife rescue centers.
His connection to Field Projects International began at the end of 2014 when he traveled to the Los Amigos Biological Station in Peru to learn about tropical ecology and to assist with field research. Since that time he has worked to help the organization build capacity and recruit students whenever he’s not in his backyard geeking out over visiting wood ducks, or in his basement writing songs about restless leg syndrome.
