Matthew de Vries

Visiting Research Scientist

Matthew is pursuing a Master’s degree in Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Toronto. He is collaborating with FPI on an investigation of whether the behavioural ecology of emperor and saddleback tamarins differs across habitat types at Los Amigos Biological Station. In particular, he is interested in studying groups that range in more disturbed edge habitat surrounding camp. Matthew was a research assistant for FPI in 2014, and since then has worked with marmosets, golden lion tamarins and chimpanzees in captivity as both a researcher and intern caregiver.
