Visiting Research Scientist
Matthew started with FPI as a research assistant in 2014. He returned in 2016 to Los Amigos Biological Station to conduct his Master’s thesis research in collaboration with FPI, investigating whether the behavioural ecology of emperor and saddleback tamarins differs across habitat types at Los Amigos Biological Station. In particular, he was interested in studying groups that range in more disturbed edge habitat surrounding camp. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Evolutionary Anthropology and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto. He now works in animal welfare as a primate caregiver at Fauna Foundation, Canada’s only chimpanzee sanctuary!
